Resumo

O gênero fúngico alternaria contém espécies saprófitos e patogênicas. Como patógenos das plantas, eles causam sérios problemas na agricultura, reduzindo o rendimento das culturas e deteriorando os frutos no armazenamento. As espécies desse gênero também podem ser micotoxicogênicas, capazes de colonizar as culturas e acumular metabólitos secundários que podem afetar a saúde humana e / ou animal nos produtos infectados. No presente trabalho, frutos de macieira (Malus domestica) e pera (Pyrus comunnis) foram amostrados em três locais do Vale do Alto Rio Negro (Cipolletti, General Roca e Villa Regina), a fim de determinar a presença de espécies do gênero alternaria associados a essas culturas na região. Foram obtidos 267 isolados pertencentes ao gênero alternaria. Eles foram identificados por suas características morfológicas (Simmons, 2007) como iguais ou semelhantes a Alternaria tenuissima, em maior proporção (85%). Além disso, A. mali e A. gaisen, espécies específicas de hospedeiro de maçã e Pêra, respectivamente, foram identificadas. A importância deste estudo é que permitir considerar o risco para a saúde das culturas locais devido a esse patógeno e avaliar a possibilidade da presença de micotoxinas nos frutos infectados, que podem atingir a cadeia produtiva, seriam um risco para a saúde do consumidor.
